Happiness

“The happiness or unhappiness of a man does not depend upon the amount of property or gold he wins. Happiness or misery is in one’s soul. A wise man feels at home in every country. The whole universe is the home of a noble soul.”
~ Democritus

Now we will all interpret this in our own way depending on our understanding. But the main point for me is that their is a choice. Choose wether you wish to be happy or unhappy, and then stick with it. Let no one take you away from your aim!

  1. I like Democritus. Yes, it is choice, the sad thing is that many gave their choice to others, then wonder why they are unhappy.

  3. A lovely quote! Lewis I am nominating you for both the Thought Provoking Blog Award, and the Commentator Award, recently bestowed upon me. You are mentioned (twice) in my post here: http://sacredlanguage.wordpress.com/2012/07/18/thanks_everybody/

Your posts and your comments are always most insightful and thought provoking, my friend – fruit for the mind!
