In these times of prosperity and plenty its easy to overlook those less fortunate among us. Spare a thought for those who will be spending tomorrow alone. Spare a thought for those who wont be visited by Father Christmas or have a lovely roast dinner with all the trimmings. And most importantly be grateful for those loved ones you will spend time with over the coming days. Be thankful for your dwelling and funds that pay for the gifts and food. Many don’t have these things to be thankful for!
And if you wish to spare more than a thought, get active and go and knock on that elderly neighbour and wish them a Merry Christmas. Get that homeless person you always see and cup of tea, or call up that family member you’ve been out of touch with for too long. Its the season of Goodwill after all.
Merry Christmas! Drink (and eat) responsibly! x
